Mella (“Mel-lah”) honey was founded on the principle of sharing Canada’s delicious and nutritious honey with the world.

Did you know that Mella actually means “honey” in Latin? We created Mella honey to honour our family heritage and history. We are a family owned company with a passion for travel and good food. We enjoy meeting new people as we learn about different cultures.

We are proud to work with only the best beekeepers and honey producers to ensure our Mella honey is unsurpassed in taste, quality, and food safety standards. We believe that relationships cannot be built overnight: we regularly visit our apiarists (beekeepers) honey producers to ensure the bees are kept healthy. Healthy bee hives and a strict quality control process mean our customers and their families are able to enjoy some of the very best honey from Canada.
